Uno di loro gli chiese addirittura: \u201c<\/span><span lang=\"IT\">Signore, come mai ti manifesterai a noi e non al mondo?<\/span><span lang=\"it\">\u201d <\/span><em><span lang=\"it\">(Giovanni 14:22).<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"it\">Naturalmente, Ges\u00f9 aveva in mente una lezione. Rispose: \u201c<\/span><span lang=\"IT\">Ges\u00f9 gli rispose: \u00abSe uno mi ama, osserver\u00e0 la mia parola; e il Padre mio l&#8217;amer\u00e0, e noi verremo da lui e dimoreremo presso di lui<\/span><span lang=\"it\">\u2026&nbsp;<\/span><span lang=\"IT\">Vi lascio pace; vi do la mia pace. Io non vi do come il mondo d\u00e0. Il vostro cuore non sia turbato e non si sgomenti<\/span><span lang=\"it\">\u2026&nbsp;<\/span><span lang=\"IT\">Ora ve l&#8217;ho detto prima che avvenga, affinch\u00e9, quando sar\u00e0 avvenuto, crediate. Io non parler\u00f2 pi\u00f9 con voi per molto, perch\u00e9 viene il principe di questo mondo. Egli non pu\u00f2 nulla contro di me; ma cos\u00ec avviene affinch\u00e9 il mondo conosca che amo il Padre e opero come il Padre mi ha ordinato. Alzatevi, andiamo via di qui<\/span><span lang=\"it\">\u201d <\/span><em><span lang=\"it\">(Giovanni 14:23, 27, 29-31).<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"it\">Ho qui abbreviato leggermente la risposta di Ges\u00f9 per concentrarmi sul tema che intendeva trattare in tutto questo brano. Quel tema \u00e8 la separazione. In questi pochi versetti, Cristo ha fatto tre chiare distinzioni tra il suo regno e il mondo: \u201cIl mondo non mi vedr\u00e0 pi\u00f9, ma voi mi vedrete\u201d <\/span><em><span lang=\"it\">(Giovanni 14:19)&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"it\">; \u201cVi do la mia pace\u201d <\/span><em><span lang=\"it\">(Giovanni 14:27)&nbsp;<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"it\">; \u201c<\/span><span lang=\"IT\">viene il principe di questo mondo. Egli non pu\u00f2 nulla contro di me<\/span><span lang=\"it\">\u201d <\/span><em><span lang=\"it\">(Giovanni 14:30).<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"it\">Perch\u00e9 Ges\u00f9 fece queste distinzioni ai suoi seguaci? Gli sembrava importante che noi vedessimo le nette divisioni tra lui e il mondo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"it\">Il fatto \u00e8 che Dio opera tali divisioni in tutta la Bibbia. Alla Creazione, separ\u00f2 la luce dalle tenebre e il giorno dalla notte. Separ\u00f2 Israele da tutte le altre nazioni. Nel Nuovo Testamento, comand\u00f2 alla sua chiesa: \u201cUscite di mezzo a loro e siate separati\u201d. E al Giudizio, separer\u00e0 le pecore dai capri.
